Panini is my family’s favorite new bakery. We brought a tasting box just for fun and the cappuccino is the winner with 4/6 votes so we got my sisters and nieces birthday cake and they did an amazing job decorating both. I look forward to celebrating with more Panini cakes!

We’ve gotten our cakes here for years because they are the BEST tasting cakes. Recently started ordering kids birthday cakes too, and their designs are also adorable! Such an amazing job, our last Dino cake had my toddler absolutely in awe. Thank you!

I have ordered from here a few times and the cakes have been terrific. Went into the store today to order a birthday cake German Chocolate and was told no, they only do that for weddings. So much for the website stating they make custom birthday cakes. I do not understand what the occassion has to do with it. So, you can order a German Chocolate groom's cake, but not a birthday cake. Go figure. The employee just said sorry and let me walk out.

We chose to go with Panini for our wedding cake after having it at another wedding. We are SO glad we did. We called and got a tasting box from them and then decided to book. I will say that things run a little more old school (not a bad thing but just something to be aware of) in that you take money by in person (check or cash) and you do the consultation over the phone when you're discussing your vision for the cake. We emailed over some designs that we liked and that was that! Our planner handled vendor communication in the month leading up to the wedding but the cake came out beautifully - exactly what we asked for. We opted to do a faux cake (with a real piece for the ceremonial cake cutting photos) and then sheet cakes in the back. We chose to do three flavors (they were all that good that we couldn't decide). We did the strawberry butter cream, white chocolate mousse with raspberry and the cappuccino mousse to pair with the espresso martinis we were having through the venue. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received on the cakes. SO MANY people have asked me where we got them and raved about them during and after the wedding. Panini officially has a customer for life in me and my husband. I'm in the process of ordering a birthday cake from them now :).

I worked with Sydney at Panini Bakery to create a custom cake for my dear friend that’s from Alaska and asked if she could decorate a cake that looked like summer in Alaska. Not only was she lovely to work with, she NAILED it! The cake exceed my expectations, and the taste of the cake was even better!! We got their signature black velvet. Highly recommend!

Had a disappointing experience with this bakery. We originally ordered our wedding cake from here, which was pretty and delicious. Two years later, my husband decided to surprise me with the same cake for our anniversary. Unfortunately, when we sliced into it the night of, we discovered they gave us the wrong flavor—one I don’t particularly like. This mistake significantly affected our celebration and we were both very disappointed.

The next day, I returned the cake to explain the issue. While they apologized and offered me the correct cake, I requested a refund for the $85 we spent on the incorrect one, especially given the inconvenience of returning it and the fact that we wanted the right one for our actual anniversary day celebration. The employee indicated that “this ever happens” so she didn’t know how to handle it and the manager would call me back within the hour , but after five hours without a call, I reached out myself.

The manager informed me that they could either give me the correct cake or issue a refund, but not both, citing their status as a "micro bakery." Given their operation in the prime area of the Park Cities and their capacity for large orders, this reasoning felt inadequate and like an excuse. The manager then asked if we could come to a “compromise” of a few slices of the correct cake along with the refund. I then had to return yet again to the store to get refunded.

While I understand that mistakes happen, this one was very frustrating, and how they responded was not appreciated . I was disappointed by their unwillingness to fully address the issue, try to resolve it and felt that better customer service should be a priority. I’ve never had a business ask ME to compromise when they made such a big mistake! As a result of this experience, I won’t be returning or recommending this bakery. It’s unfortunate to lose a customer who would’ve been willing to return for many occasions had they made the situation right. Also, the “compromise” slices they gave us after the refund were dry, so… 3 trips later, (again, due to their mistake) what a waste of our time and money.

My first time trying this bakery was 7/29/23.

Pricing: Expensive: $90 for a 10 inch round. I bought it out of the display case and had them write happy birthday on it.

Taste: The icing was too sweet. The cake was moist and had good flavor. The filling was tasty. The filling between the layers was a whipped strawberry filling that required the cake to stay in the fridge all the time. I wouldn’t buy this one again since I’m not a fan of cold cake. You have to thaw a slice out about 10 minutes prior to eating.

Customer Service: The old lady was super nice. The other two ladies were not rude but they were not super friendly at all. I think the other two ladies were the owners.

Would I buy again: Yes, I would just do an actual order the next time to get a different icing and filling.

We picked up a 6” strawberries and cream cake for a birthday. It was the best. This cake feed 4 adults and 2 kids. Everybody was wanting more when it was all gone. Highly recommend.
