I found a parking spot about half a block away-free. It was a Sunday morning, and it was pretty busy. Seemed like the selection was limited compared to the other locations. KOUIN AMANN.... it is incredibly delicious! I got the seasonal, it had a nice apple cinnamon filling. It was very good. I also got a plain vanilla. Warmed it up the next day and thanked the pastry Gods of France!

We absolutely love village baking co! Today absolutely reminded us how much we do even more! It’s such a cozy and places the staff is always amazing and kind! And of course, all of the treats are amazing!

Today was even better! We stopped in for some treats to go and the staff reminded me how amazing they are. One of the staff members who gave my daughter a free cinnamon roll while we waited! well, another one sat and looked at all the animal pictures on the wall with her.

It was a great experience. The sweetness of the delicious treats I picked matched the sweetness of the person who helped me. I did not catch her name but she was wearing a cap. She was so excited to tell me about the pastries and was so kind to a person in need that went today. I went there to pick up food for an event at work and when I went back I told everyone that I had found the best bakery with the nicest staff. We will make it a habit to go there. To the girl who helped me today I can tell you love what you do and I hope you know you brighten my day and the day of that person in need.

i was so excited to try out this bakery because i saw it all over social media, but, honestly, the bakery was underwhelming and disappointing. first of all, there were so many fruit flies where the baked goods were displayed, ew. the pain au chocolat had literally like 2 pieces of chocolate on the inside and tasted kind of stale. the jalapeño bacon croissant was the best thing there, but it could have used a little more toppings on the inside. the worst of the worst had to have been the kouign amann. it was rock hard!! it didn’t have a caramelized bottom and just hurt my teeth eating it. would NOT recommend. also parking is hard to find.

We came in to pick up some amazing pastries for the second time.
We asked for a box.
The server said she could place it in a bag.
We were okay with that. We purchased $56.00 worth pastries and bread.
We arrived at home and did not receive our complete order.
? we were looking forward to our eclairs

Very cute bakery on Oak Lawn! Cases were stocked beautifully with croissants and other delicious pastries when I walked in, making it very inviting! I ordered a blueberry scone, almond croissant, chocolate almond croissant, bacon jalapeno croissant, and a seasonal Kouign Amman (raspberry). By far, the best thing was the Kouign Amman because it was soft and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, with a light raspberry flavor. The other croissants and scone were very dry, sadly, so I wouldn't get those again. But I would definitely order another Kouign Amman! Their iced chai tea was also very good--spiciest chai tea I've had! Staff answered my questions about the pastries, but overall weren't that friendly and didn't seem excited to be working there on a Saturday morning

What a gem! A wonderful coffee shop with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a delightful space. Also a phenomenal bakery serving delicious quiche, croissants, pastries, sandwiches and lots of yummy treats. The people are so, so nice. We've been in Dallas for 2 weeks and just discovered them today. We will most certainly be back for coffee and goodies next time we're in town. And delightfully dog friendly!

Had a chance to visit this bakery while on vacation. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. We got the Pretzel Croissant, Chocolate Kouign Amann, and Laminated Brioche.

The Laminated Brioche was very good it was almost like a donut texture but in pastry form. It was very soft and tasty.

The Kouign Amann, was something I’ve never had before. It was very odd, it’s a cake like texture with chocolate in the middle but, it’s very crispy. Rather than what you would think with a donut or cake. I was surprised with how delicious it was.

Finally, the best thing about this place the pretzel croissant. I’ve been to hundreds of bakeries in my food travels, and I have to say this is the best thing I’ve had. I could literally eat 100s of them. They are absolutely incredible.

Overall, this place is a must visit.
