Now M and S is closing in hazel grove thought I would have a drive out to waitrose. The food is amazing and we'll worth a visit.

I bought milk and strawberries with a best before date well in date.Both items lasted 2 days then mold appeared.People have told me they don't have a cold room before stocking their shelves.Never again.

It's always a nice visit to do some shopping at waitrose and partners, very helpful staff and great products and at the moment some good deals on 0 alcohol beers

UPDATE 29 OCTOBER 2023:
Still no improvements in stock level or customer service. The whole place looks scruffy and untidy with empty shelves in every department. Reduced to one star and will not return.

Update February 2023: reduced from 4 stars to 2.
What happened to this branch! Absolutely awful, scruffy with empty goods cages taking up the old abandoned bakery area. Very poorly stocked with many empty shelves. Under staffed with miserable, unfriendly employees. Again, what happened? New management?

Small branch but quite well stocked. Oh, and free coffee returns next month (November 2022) !

Racist staff at checkout (Thomas and branch manager Alex) refused to allow my husband and myself to purchase 5 bottles of beer/cider even when we have our ID, just because we were traveling with 3 friends and a friend left her ID at home. This is discriminatory and unfair, as families with young children/babies are allowed to purchase alcohol with no problems. Please treat ethnic minorities fairly and with respect.

If you like Waitrose you'll like this branch as I do. It's relatively small but seems to carry all the stock items you'd expect. I find the smallness nicer than big supermarkets. It's supplied from the Cheadle branch so the shelves can get a bit empty towards the end of the day and on Sundays.

Car parking can be a bit of a nuisance late morning and when parents are collecting children from local schools or local events.

And I do not think the sell-by dates are very good. But Scan Pay Go, whether on one of their devices or, now, in the phone app, is excellent.

Lovely shop, don't go often but will try to.
We couldn't seem to get Fentimans Dandelion and Burdock anywhere. Bought 8 bottles at a reduced price.
And had a free cup of coffee.
